What roof pressure cleaning is
High pressure cleaning uses a strong jet of water to wash moss, lichen and built-up dirt off roof tiles. Over the years that growth spreads across a tile roof — often thickest on shaded slopes — and the loose material ends up in the gutters.
Cleaning before other roof work
Pressure cleaning is often done before re-pointing, so the new mortar goes onto clean ridges and hips. It's also the usual first step before a roof is sealed or painted.
Because Ben is a roof tiler, he'll tell you about any cracked tiles or perished pointing he spots while he's up there.

Questions
What does roof pressure cleaning remove?
Moss, lichen and built-up dirt on the tiles. Text a photo of your roof to 0422 093 241 and Ben can talk you through it.
Is pressure cleaning the same as a roof restoration?
No. Cleaning is one part of a restoration, which also replaces failed bedding and pointing and any broken tiles. If your roof only needs a clean, Ben will say so.
